Company of Heroes Complete: Campaign Edition was released for the Apple Macintosh in May 2013, featuring every campaign from the original and expansions, as well as skirmishes against the AI. This marked a significant milestone for Relic Entertainment, the developers behind the Dawn of War series, who introduced their next-generation engine, dubbed Essence.

Company of Heroes is a Real-Time Strategy game set on the Western Front of World War II. The game's attention to detail and historical accuracy make it a standout in its genre. To succeed in this mission, players must employ strategic thinking and quick reflexes. Save often, as the AI can be formidable, especially when supported by powerful units like tanks.

The first mission, Trun Swatting Flies, takes place in the Falaise Pocket during World War II. Players are tasked with capturing key objectives while fending off enemy forces. To achieve this, they must carefully position their units and use abilities wisely. For example, Henschel/V1/Firestorm-style abilities can be used to clear pockets of resistance.

In this mission, it's essential to have a few units ready to move if either area needs reinforcing. Additionally, players should avoid attempting to guard the road that leads from the leftmost corner to the bridge, as there are no panzers in that area and they won't cross the bridge to attack the church.

To set up a strong defense, keep your units (MG, Grens, Luftwaffe/Pios) near the leftmost garrison at the top, and reinforce from there. Lay mines along the road that goes between the bridge near the church and the southernmost panzer. Build your final 88 somewhere near the top, along the road and near the topmost panzers.

The rest of your forces should be sent north to guard the other Panzers. In my playthrough, I found it effective to build three 88s in the southern pocket. Be cautious, as the enemy will keep spawning until they accomplish their objectives.

For some reason, this spawns a Crocodile Sherman with Bulldozer, which can wreak havoc on your forces if not dealt with promptly. Despite these challenges, it's possible to complete the mission on Expert difficulty and earn a medal. With practice and patience, players can overcome the obstacles in Trun Swatting Flies and move on to the next mission in Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor.
